Rose Cottage (sleeps 2-4, one double, one twin, both with en-suites) is over the old stone bridge from Higher North Mill just up the lane from Quack Cottage. South-facing and slightly elevated it gets plenty of sun. The large deck gives you long sweeping views over the river and down the valley and there's a picnic bench with sunshade for alfresco dining. Above the raised banks of the decking is a small lawn, then a steeply-sloping flower and shrub bank behind. It’s fully fenced and dog-proof and ideal for dogs to run around on.
Both rooms have-wood burning stoves, wooden window seats and oak panelling. This is a very warm and cosy cottage. |

Upstairs are two bedrooms: one double with an en-suite bathroom, and one twin with its own shower room. Above the double bed is a roof window, perfect for romantic moon- and star-gazing; you can sleep under the stars in the cosy comfort of your old Devon stone cottage.
The low window ledges on the upstairs windows make this cottage unsuitable for children under five.
