November 2009 Our first home-made cider is ready and it's very lively!   Invigorating beach walks, mild weather; beautiful light. Home to log fires.

October 2009 Golden Autumn! We're pressing apples for our first cider, collecting from the hedgerows for sloe gin, sloe whisky, chutneys, jams, crumbles and hazelnuts.

                 Blackpool Sands in January

January 2010 Dippers, kingfisher, herons and mysterious paw prints in the mud ... otters!

December 2009 New website launched - now you can see more photos and get a better impression of our lovely cottages!

                    Brisk Walks on the Beach

September 2009 Blue skies, sunshine and harvest time. Our orchard is groaning with cookers, eaters, ciderers John levels more land for veg and fruit - a happy man, a week on a digger

August 2009 Summer sunshine, our last ducklings are thriving. Even Half-Baked, the smallest duckling who had three turns in the Aga after an assisted hatching - he had to be peeled out of his egg. The Big Lunch a great success, especially the home-made eco raft race.

Our secret Gara Valley

July 2009 Traffic jam at Watermill Cottages!

June 2009 Fabulous sunny dry weather though too dry for badgers - the worms are too deep. They found an alternative food source in our duck eggs - we found a young badger curled up under the hay in the dog kennel resting after an egg supper. Two nests and twenty eggs gone....

A Peacock butterfly on the buddleia

May 2009 An otter in Quack Cottage's garden, running along the river's edge. Drifts of bluebells, white garlic and wild flowers in the woods and wetlands. Swallows swooping, fish are jumping... aah summer time!

March 2009 Spring - wild daffodils, violets & primroses. The Kitchen Garden is taking shape..

April 2009 Our first ducklings! And flow tests to assess the viability of running on water from our spring.
