Rose Cottage (sleeps 4) is over the bridge on the left above Quack Cottage. We extensively renovated this cottage early in 2003 but have tried hard to retain its previous simple character. It gets the best sun of all the cottages, and outside we have built a big timber deck to make the most of the view over the river and across the valley. There is a small lawn above the decking with a steeply sloping flower and shrub bank behind. It’s fully fenced and dog proof and ideal for dogs to run around on. Downstairs the cottage has a big, bright, sunny kitchen with a dining table and chairs and a comfortable living room with a big sofa and easy chairs. Both rooms have wood burning stoves and oak panelling. This is a very warm and cosy cottage.Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms. One double with an en suite bathroom, and one twin with its own shower room. The low window ledges on the upstairs windows make this cottage unsuitable children under five.
