The Small Print

The cottages are ready for guests’ arrival at 3.00 p.m. and we ask you to leave by 10.00 am on the day of departure. Bed linen is supplied but please bring towels and tea cloths. Well-behaved pets are welcome by arrangement, at a cost of £15.00 per animal per week. As there are sheep nearby, dogs must be kept under control. Dogs must not have access to bedrooms and should not be left without prior arrangement. A cot and high chair are available at no extra charge, if more than one is required by one cottage we will ask for a payment of £7.50 per item. Night Rate electricity for storage heating and hot water is included in the rental charge. Day rate electricity is recorded by meter for payment at the end of the holiday. Each cottage has night storage heating and additional electric heaters. There is use of a tumble dryer at £2.00 per hour. The first basket of logs is supplied free to those cottages with wood burning stoves, additional baskets are £3.00 each. Barbecues are available. We reserve the right to charge for any damage done to the property during your letting period. Short break bookings may be moved to a different cottage of similar or greater capacity. Having said this we do try to comply with your original request and will inform you of any changes, if they do occur prior to the commencement of your holiday. Numbers of residents must not exceed those stated on the booking form without previous agreement. If we do agree to allow the number of residents to exceed the stated capacity on the price list, a charge of £30.00 per week (or part thereof) will be made for each additional person. For the comfort and security of all residents, please ask in advance if you want to have friends or relatives to visit during your stay. We reserve the right to request that non-residents leave the premises at any time.

Payments: We request written confirmation within five days of a telephone or e-mail booking with payment of a deposit of £70.00. The balance will be due one month before your holiday. Once a booking has been made a legally binding contract exists and full payment will be required, therefore we recommend you consider taking out cancellation insurance. Should you have to cancel a confirmed booking this must be done in writing. We will make every effort to re-let the accommodation and if successful, any payments received, including the deposit, will be returned, less costs.

Please note that all aspects of your visit are at your own risk.
